Chemba Puttu Podi is a popular breakfast from South India, prepared by steaming red rice flour with coconut in a special puttu cooker/puttu maker.
Ingredients: rice flour
Method of preparation:
1. To 1 cup of ”Chemba Puttu Podi Double Horse” add 1 cup of water and required salt. Let the mixture stay for 20-30 minutes.
2. Mix the batter throughly and fill into the puttu maker with coconut scrapings, layer by layer.
3. Steam cook (3-5min) till done and serve hot.
Serve with plantains, chutney, curry or sugar.
