Jasmine rice is a long grain rice native to Thailand with a delicate floral and buttery scent. The secret to cooking it perfectly is getting the right proportion of water and rice.

Although this sticky rice is perfect with Oriental food, it is also ideal with all savoury dishes and makes an excellent rice pudding. Cold cooked Fragrant Jasmine is wonderful to use as fried rice – the lightly sticky grains separate when re-heated.
Preparation Instructions: For best results soak rice in cold water for 30 minutes before cooking. Bring a large pan of Water to the boil. stir in the rice adding a pinch of salt if required. Return to the boil, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain well and serve.
